CHAIN will be showcased alongside other European projects at the European Commission’s stand during the Apply AI Summit on 17 November 2026, highlighting its contribution to bringing trustworthy AI into cardiovascular care.
Organised by the European Commission’s AI Office in Brussels and online, the Apply AI Summit will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, start-ups and other stakeholders to explore how AI is being put into practice across strategic sectors. Healthcare will feature in a dedicated session, alongside an exhibition presenting European initiatives and concrete examples of AI deployment.
The event marks the first anniversary of the Apply AI Strategy and concludes the first European AI Innovation Month. Running from 14 October to 17 November 2026, the month connects events across Europe to showcase AI development and adoption, linking scientific advances with applications in industry and public services.
The Apply AI Strategy complements the EU’s AI Continent Action Plan by focusing on the uptake of AI across ten strategic industrial sectors and the public sector. Healthcare and pharmaceuticals are among its priorities. Alongside sector-specific flagship actions, it addresses practical barriers to adoption through support for testing and experimentation, skills development and access to Europe’s AI innovation infrastructure.
CHAIN is a flagship action within this wider European effort, connecting the ambition for AI adoption with the needs of cardiovascular care.
The Summit offers an opportunity to place our work in a broader discussion: what it takes for trustworthy AI to become part of everyday healthcare and deliver meaningful benefits for patients and health professionals.
